Yes! 1 month and 1 day until staging begins! I thought I’d post about books because there is yet no staging information to report. Here’s a list of PC and Africa books I’ve read and recommend:
Power Lines by Jason Carter (Pres. Carter’s grandson), Dear Exile by Liftin and Montgomery, Let Every Nation Know: JFK in his Own Words by Dallek and Galway, Out of Africa by Isak Denisen, and currently Desmond Tutu: Rabblerouser for Peace. Plenty more are on my to-read list. Now that I’m done working short-term at the airport, I plan on getting through the list. So excited!
And as for books I plan on packing (so we avoid repeats) are: Don’t Let’s Go to the Dogs Tonight by Alexandra Fuller, Coming of Age in Samoa by Margaret Mead, House of Sand and Fog by Andre Dubus, and for the necessary light reading category: Tales of Beatle the Bard by J. K. Rowling.
Soon I should be able to update about my staging details – D.C. here I come!
